Rollin, rollin, rollin...

So Halle is becoming very mobile these days. She has been rolling for a few months now, but she has nailed the whole scooting thing just recently. Wow this girl can get where she wants to in no time flat. The other day, I put her in her room to play for a little bit, when just a few seconds later, I hear some thumping coming from down the hall. She had rolled and scooted right under her changing table. She was kicking the shelf from underneath, causing all the thumping. And me, being the good mom that I am, didn't take her out immediately, no, I went and grabbed my camera. It was just too funny, I couldn't not take a picture.

She has also learned how to open the lower drawers in our family room. OH NO! Time to baby proof. She and Harv had a good time opening the drawer and then slamming it shut. It is so much fun to see her learning new things. It is also hard to see my baby growing up SO dang fast. Where has the time gone? YIKES!

Halle has learned to clap and play patti cake the past few weeks. She LOVES to clap whenever Blake or I come into the room. She claps when she listens to music and she claps when I make dinner. I have to say, I feel pretty special when I get a standing (well sitting) ovation for making soup. She is such a cute little girl. She is getting quite the personality and becoming such a little person. When she isn't clapping, she loves to hold her hands together. When she is resting, or watch Baby Einstein (again, I'm a good mom eh?) Her little hands are clasped together. I had to get a picture of that too. SO SO cute. Anyway, that is the update on Halle. She is getting so big.

Simply Having a wonderful Christmas Time

So the title of this blog is funny because the other night we had a discussion about the most annoying Christmas songs ever! Quinn thinks that this little gem by Paul McCartney and Wings takes the cake, however, It is the most creative title I could come up with today. My brain has been on overload the past few weeks, and the creativity is completely gone. So this blog title is dedicated to my brother in law Quinn. :)

We hope that each of you had a great holiday season, we definitely had a "wonderful Christmas Time". It can be a little stressful at times, but once it is all over, you sit back and look at all the fun and excitement and I feel a little sad that it is another year before next Christmas. This year was Halle's first Christmas, which made it SO SO special for Blake and I. It was so fun to see her eyes light up when she was around the Christmas tree, she LOVED the wrapping paper and bows, and in all reality, that is ALL we should have gotten her. However, she got some really cute little toys and loves playing with them. We went to see the lights at temple square with the Capson's and with the Harris's. (both sides of the family) We went to see A Christmas Carol at the Hale family theater which was REALLY amazing. I had never been there before, and It was incredible to see how they used the stage in so many different ways. That was a highlight of the season for us. We shopped, ate, and watched Christmas movies. It was a great December. Thank you to all of our family, for making it such a sweet and memorable Christmas season. We love you all, and wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
