To Our Birthday Girl!

Happy Birthday to our little Eva girl! She would be 4 years old today. Both Blake and I can't believe that 4 years have already passed, since we had to say goodbye to our little girl. We know that she is with our Father in Heaven and that brings us so much comfort. It is still hard to think about all the things she would be doing and learning, and how she would be growing if she were still here with us. Eva has taught us so much in these 4 short years. We have learned a lot about the plan of salvation and eternal families. We have learned that God's plan for us isn't always the plan that we have for ourselves. We have learned that prayer is a REAL thing, and is truly a way to communicate and receive answers from our Heavenly Father. We have learned that TIME heals wounds and sadness. We have also learned and have faith that Time flies by so quickly and it is only a matter of a short time here on earth until we are able to be with our little Eva again. We have learned to rely on our Heavenly Father and how to rely on one another when we have tough days (which we still have) We know that she is still aware of us, she knows her little sister Halle, and I know that they knew each other in Heaven. Losing a child, or baby is truly one of the hardest things to describe. You feel so many emotions. You feel sadness, loss, confusion, lonely and a whole slew of other things, and yet, you feel comfort and peace when you can turn to our Heavenly Father.
In honor of Eva, we are planning as a family to run in a 10K this year, it is a Race for infant and pregnancy loss. Check it out if you are interested...

We continue to have HOPE and FAITH that we will see our little Eva again. Hope is truly what helps us go on and look to the future. We don't want to stay in the past, I know that Eva wouldn't want that. I know that she wants us to continue to live and love and serve others, and that is what we try to do each day. We love her and are so grateful for our little Angel. Happy Birthday Eva Hope!!! We love you so much, thank you for all that you teach us on a daily basis.
Love always,
Mommy and Daddy
