Happy "Halle-Ween"

This was Halle's second Halloween, and she had so much fun. She LOVED being in her cozy pumpkin costume and wouldn't let me take it off for nap time. ( I think she liked how padded it was. Super soft and comfy) The day was crazy and busy, but it was great. We started out by visiting Blake at his office at lunch time. His office did a Costume parade for all the little kiddos. It was so fun to see all the cute costumes. Halle LOVED walking around her daddy's office and visiting everyone who worked there. (She is our social butterfly, always talking to everyone) She loved picking out the little candy and putting it in her pumpkin bucket. Blake's only complaint was that Halle picked all the lame candy. Smarties, starbursts and nerds. Don't get me wrong, we love those too, but how about a butterfinger or 100 grand every now and then?
Later in the afternoon we went to our neighborhood "Trunk or Treat" and got more candy. Halle didn't really care too much for the candy there. She just wanted to play in the leaves. It was super cute to see her running around in her little costume.
Later that night, we went trick or treating up our street. We only went to a few homes, but She figured out how it worked pretty quickly. She would take a little candy and then put it in her bucket, then she would say " two?" and grab a second candy. She is a smarty pants. Blake and I had more fun on this Halloween than I think we have ever had. Watching Halle enjoy the holidays has made them more enjoyable and exciting for us too.

Halloween is almost more fun as a parent than a kid right? I remember the first time we took Abby Trick-Or-Treating--she was in heaven, and Marcus I had just as much fun. Love the pumpkin costume!!

I love that you wrote "Halle-ween"- cute! That is hilarious that she would take two candies! People probably got such a kick out of her. I must say, I could probably sleep in that costume too. Looks comfy.
